Big Indian New York Wedding

Simplicity does not mean that it is boring. But if you are looking for a wedding that fits that description then the venue must set the tone. When Christine and Bobby tied knot in Big Indian, New York, it was not an elaborate affair but the setting was so perfect that their wedding was absolutely fabulous. Big Indian is located within the Town of Shandaken in Ulster county, New York. It is named after a Munsee named Winneesook who was almost seven feet tall and was nicknamed Big Indian. As local folklore tells it, he was killed because he had a forbidden love and after his death the woman, Gertrude, started the town where he was killed. What a great place for a wedding? Given the history, the natural backdrops provided a great setting for the wedding. The barn and the landscape were absolutely perfect. Big Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingTheir color choice of green was also great and it blended in well with the natural surroundings. The bridesmaids wore long green dresses, the grooms men wore green ties, the bouquets had lots of greenery and they even had green in the frosting of the cupcakes.Big Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingBig Indian New York WeddingThey also had cupcakes with blue frosting in it which fit in with their secondary theme. Besides green, the theme also centered around their football teams. They liked the New York Giants and the New York Jets so the color choice on the cupcakes was affected by this. As you can see, you can have a simple wedding but selecting the right venue and having a theme definitely helps everything come together.
