1940's Aviation Styled Engagement Session
Every engagement session just like every wedding is unique. The bride and groom decide what they want. But Kyle and Nikki are not your ordinary engaged couple and they wanted their engagement session to be just as unique. Kyle and Nikki have been together for seven years and share three beautiful children together. They might be planning a wedding but they have already started their life together. This is part of the reason that their session in St. Louis, Missouri had an aviation theme and was lots of fun. Nikki found her dress at an antique shop and her sister helped her with the alterations. Kyle was able to get his ensemble from a local Goodwill store. They even combed their hair to fit the theme. But the shoot could not just take place anywhere. They were able to use an Aviation Museum. It was the perfect venue. Kyle and Nikki obtained pictures on the runway with airplanes from the 40's. They hugged, looked at each other and kissed. They definitely looked as though he was leaving and she was not sure if he would return. They portrayed their roles beautifully.
They truly resembled a couple from World War II. The old movies are full of them. The couple got married just before the guy went off to war or it is the life after he comes back from the war. Kyle and Nikki did a great job of portraying lovers from that time period. I am sure that like most couples Kyle and Nikki are not professional models. But you would never know from their pictures. It just shows that if you have a theme, select the right venue and outfits, it is incredible what can happen. You may discover a hidden talent. But whether or not you uncover a potential career, you will get some fantastic pictures that will be treasured not just now but in years to come.
