Gatsby Styled Shoot by Dani Fine Photography

Not all brides want the standard wedding. Some like to create a fantasy with their nuptials. In these cases, the weddings are usually planned with a theme and all of the elements are chosen to complement that idea. We have a Gatsby styled shoot from Dani Fine Photography to share that takes a step back to the roaring 20's. It is inspired by the movie The Great Gatsby which is set in that time period. gatsby styled shoot gatsby styled shoot gatsby styled shoot gatsby styled shoot gatsby styled shoot gatsby styled shoot gatsby styled shoot gatsby styled shoot gatsby styled shoot

Each element was chosen to reflect the theme. Let's break it down one by one as we highlight this creative fashion shoot. Of course, the most logical place to start is at the head and in this case we will talk about the hair and head pieces. The models display varying hairstyles depending on the head piece that is worn. They vary from having the hair hang with drop curls to loose buns on the side and to the back. Each hairstyle is designed in a way to take you back to another time. The head pieces are just as varied. There is one that resembles a crown, another one that looks like a jeweled head piece, another composed of feathers and the most simple one is a flower. Now let's go further and speak about the gowns. There is a satin gown that is a halter with a jeweled waistband, another one is strapless and has a jeweled cover up with capped sleeves and then there are also potential bride maid dresses in purple and black. But the groom must be attired to fit the theme as well. In this shoot, the groom conveys a certain elegance or sophistication that is reminiscent of this era. In one outfit, he is wearing a tuxedo and a bow tie. A very classic look that is truly timeless. In the other outfit, he is wearing the tuxedo but replaces the bow tie with a blue vest and blue/gray ascot. He looked very debonair. If you are really creative and want a wedding that is themed based, we hope that this shoot will provide inspiration. It can be done but it takes planning and organizing. At the end of the day, you want to remember your special day as think about each element that added together to tell the your love story.
