Gatsby Style Real Wedding
The roaring 20's were an amazing era. It is still regarded as a very fashion conscious time. The movie the Great Gatsby is set in that time period and many people emulate it when they desire to create an atmosphere that is reminiscent of the 20's. When Courtney and Mark decided to have a winter wedding in San Luis Obispo, California, they planned all of the details around this theme. Here is there Gatsby style real wedding captured by Looking Glass Photography Studio. Besides fashion, the 20's were known for its opulence. Courtney and Mark also wanted to reflect that aspect of the period as well. Their wedding ensembles really set the tone for their nuptials. Courtney wore a beautiful sleeveless gown. It had a jeweled waistband with a wonderful flowing skirt. She also had a cape that was made of fur. How unique is that? But the most incredible aspect of her outfit were her shoes. They were red with a fur like accent. Mark definitely looked like he took a step back in time. He wore a white jacket and shirt with a black bow tie and black pants. The contrast had an incredible affect. His shoes were also special. They were black and white. The rest of the bridal party were also dressed to fit the occasion. The bridesmaids wore beautiful red gowns and the grooms men wore black suits with black ties and white shirts. They also wore the same black and white shoes as the groom.
The theme was carried into the reception. They combined red peonies, roses and cattails to provide an amazing look. They had crystal vases as well as crystal inside of the floral arrangement. It was so spectacular. They also used a red velvet runner on the tables. But if that was not enough, the desserts were wonderful. The wedding cake was magnificent. It was gold. This was very unusual but definitely fit in with the theme. Mark and Courtney showed that a theme can help you plan your wedding. Each detail is important and should add to the end result. Cohesive weddings do not happen by accident. It takes a lot of planning. Think of what you want for your big day. Plan it and you will have the wedding that you have always dreamed of.
