Intimate Kiawah Island Wedding
The old adage says that opposites attract. This is true for most couples. Allison and Tim are opposites and they also wanted their wedding to symbolize this as well. Allison is a writer and Tim is a CPA. They wanted a casual yet elegant affair for their nuptials in South Carolina. This is no easy feat but they were able to pull it off. They travelled from North Carolina to tie the knot at The Course in Kiawah, South Carolina. It is on an island. The venue boasts not only the water but also a golf course. This is the elegance. They only invited close friends and relatives so it was a very intimate affair which allowed it to be more casual. While Allison wore a beautiful white gown, it was still very simple. She complemented it with a necklace and earrings. Tim did not wear a tuxedo or even a suit. He just wore a checkered shirt. The guests dressed nicely but were not adorned for a gala either. It was a very casual atmosphere They carried this feeling into the reception as well. Instead of having multiple tables, everyone sat at one big table. This allowed it to be more casual and intimate. The colors were blue and white and the place settings were absolutely adorable. They used gold silverware to add the elegance aspect. Tim and Allison showed that you can combine two opposite thoughts and create a wonderful event. They had the wedding that was right for them. When planning your nuptials, do not be afraid to steer away from tradition. It is your day and it should reflect what will make it memorable for you.
