Kansas Farm Engagement Photos
You are definitely at the mercy of Mother Nature when you plan an outdoor engagement session. You have to hope that the weather will cooperate. But what do you do if it does rain? Well, that's what happened to Jeff and Jessica in Kelly, Kansas and they did not cancel their session. As a result, they obtained some remarkable photos in the rain. They had planned their engagement session for Jeff's family dairy farm.
They wore two outfits during their session. Sometimes changing ensembles helps when you are using different venues. Even though they were at the same location, the wardrobe change did affect how you look at their images. They went from being a couple out for an afternoon outing to a cowboy and cowgirl. We just love the photos of Jessica on the rope swing and the fun pictures on the back of the truck. The romantic images taken with them under the umbrella will forever help them remember that they decided to have their engagement session despite the weather. There was so much open space and natural props that could be used to enhance the photos. The session was alright but then the sky opened up. The decision was made not to stop and you could see how much fun Jeff and Jessica had taking the photos in the rain. If you plan your session and it rains, you don't have to cancel. You can speak with your photographer and you might be able to still have it in the rain. It would be more spontaneous and add an element that would not have been there. Think about it. It might make your engagement even more spectacular.
