Kiawah Island South Carolina Wedding
Each wedding has a feel. There is an aura. This can be created on purpose if you select a theme for your nuptials or it can happen just because of the elements that you have chosen. When Andi and Hub tied the knot in South Carolina, there were two things that immediately came to mind. It was simple yet also had an air of elegance. They got married at the Mingo Point Resort on Kiawah Island. The venue was a great choice since it provided the perfect setting. It is a barrier island located 25 miles southwest of Charleston. Its history dates back to 1670 so it is rich in culture. This is why it was a wonderful setting for this affair since it combined the simplicity of a small town event with the elegance of a destination venue. Andi's dress was a sleeveless gown. For some, it would have been considered understated because it did not have lace or diamonds or tulle. However, Andi was beautiful as her A-Line dress flowed down her body. Her bridesmaids wore sleeveless gowns as well which were in different shades of blue. Her groom and groomsmen wore blue sports jackets, khaki pants and blue ties. They also looked fabulous. They may not have worn tuxedos but they still looked very elegant as their colors blended perfectly with the sky of the sunny venue. The feeling was also conveyed at the reception. They used the color blue there as well. The tablecloths were blue and there were lights strung across the room. The centerpieces were arrangements or flowers and baby's breath. There was also a hanging chandelier. The whole setting was simple yet elegant. The cake also fit the theme since it was two layers without lots of decorations. It only had some flowers on the top and in a corner to the side. Andi and Hub had an incredible wedding. It was very cohesive and flowed well from top to bottom. It all started with the venue that allowed them to plan a wedding that represented them. You want your nuptials to be a reflection of you. The venue helps set the tone and makes planning easier if it provides the right setting. Keep this in mind when you are selecting your wedding location so that you can make your dream a reality on your big day.
