Relationships are a process of two people growing closer over time. Sometimes it culminates with them deciding to walk down the aisle. Kelvin and Laura had a few obstacles in their 4 year courtship. For two of those years, they lived in different states. But they were able to weather the distance and they tied the knot in Mount Vernon, Washington in a very special wedding. They had wooden messages strategically placed throughout their venue that made their nuptials totally personal. The messages ranged from feelings that they wanted to express to directions to the various amenities. It made their day extra special. We feel that there was one that truly expressed what kept their relationship going. It said, “We love because he first loved us.”

Kelvin and Laura had a very traditional and do it yourself wedding. It all started with the signs and even their outfits. Everything simply fit the tone for this wedding. Laura wore a beautiful strapless gown. It had a wonderful waistband that was decorated with a jeweled pin. Her hair cascaded over her shoulders and she wore a lace veil. It was a very traditional look. Her  bouquet was a mixture of white and pale pink flowers.

Kelvin was the perfect complement. He wore a gray suit with a pale pink tie to match the flowers in her bouquet. He also wore argyle socks. The signs were also at the reception. The guests had to find their names by searching placards hanging by clothes pins. Each guest had a thank you note on their place setting and even the menu was unique since it was placed in a picture frame. The dessert table was also unique. It had a sign “sweet nothings” draped along the skirt. The wedding cake was only one tier and had a very usual handmade topper. Kelvin and Laura had a wedding that was very special and very intimate. They had little details that made their day cohesive. They wanted to share how they felt for each other with their guests in the simple messages of their signs. Make your nuptials unique by adding details that will create a memory for a lifetime.
