Rachael and Scott met at work. But their story is unique even though they simply worked together. Scott pursued her for one year before she would even go out on a date. After she gave in, magic happened and the rest as they say is history. When they planned their engagement session in their hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona, it was very relaxed.
They did not have an elaborate session. Some couples use multiple props or backdrops to give their session more pizazz and flavor. Rachel and Scott simply looked like two people “in love” hanging out. They are dressed in business casual. It looks like they are simply enjoying a day in the park together. They look so comfortable with each other. From their loving gazes to their warm embrace, you completely feel the love that they have for each other. In the second setting, it is more reminiscent of where they live. It has a definite rustic feel. They change into western wear and have props that further accentuate what they are trying to convey. They have a log cabin, a wine barrel and even a cactus. But the best prop was something very special to them. It was their dog, Nalu.
With an engagement session, couples sometimes also use different outfits to add versatility to their pictures. Rachel and Scott wore two different ensembles in two different settings. It truly looked like they are completely different sessions done on different days. Rachel and Scott showed that you don’t have to plan an elaborate session in order to get great engagement pictures. Simply select the right venue and the right outfits. It will all come together and you will get magnificent photos.
